Fall Streetwear 2021
Fashion Week shows always bring the newest collections of seasonal haute couture and fall streetwear of 2021. If you’re trying to keep your style updated with the latest end-of-year fashion, keep the following trends in mind when you start walking the streets this fall and winter:
-
Coats That Bring the Drama
This fall’s runways were peppered with dramatic, eye-catching coats that will surely keep you warm when temperatures start to drop. We saw many floor-length coats made of lighter materials, and oversized jackets made of plush-down and faux fur.

Fall 2021 Fashion Color Trends
It appears that red and lavender are the defining colors this fall. NYFW designers Adam Lippes and Christian Cowan presented head-to-toe red outfits while Jason Wu decorated his models with bright red accents. On the lavender side of things, Lacoste, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jonathan Simkhai, and Roksanda debuted designs with this pretty hue that is typically reserved for spring. Nothing wrong with a little pop of bright color in your fall wardrobe!

Elevated Knits
Is there anything cozier than putting on a big knit sweater when you get chilly? This fall, NYFW made it clear that designers are all about chunky knit sweaters, dresses, and skirts. It’s a wonderful thing when fashion and comfort combine to create outfits that will keep us warm and stylish all winter long!
-
Crushed Velvet
Velvet is a great material for the holiday season. There’s just something so romantic and classic about a floor-length, crushed velvet dress with slouchy shoulders. Plus, because velvet is a heavier material it’s perfect for those chilly nights that are right around the corner.

Suited Up
Fall 2020 NYFW debuted tailored suits, but working from home caused leisurewear to top the trends instead. This year, designers changed their designs to be more androgenous in light of the rising popularity of gender-neutral clothing. This change combined with the fact that more people are getting back to the office and attending social functions makes suits a hot contender for fall fashions trends this year.
