Istituto Marangoni X Italian Consulate

Press Release | Istituto Marangoni x Italian Consulate

Istituto Marangoni Miami, the School of Fashion, has joined forces with the Italian Consulate to host a series of events starting in February 2020. The first event includes a visit from the Italian Ambassador. This community effort aims to recruit, develop, and retain entrepreneurs and students to influence Italian culture in Miami. Further, its effort is to help endorse the fashion industry in the city, which is a major hub for Fashion.

Istituto Marangoni Miami has been in operation for two years in the heart of the Design District. The School’s beautiful seven-story building will be the venue for the Italian ambassador’s visit on February 19th, 2020. Entrepreneurs will come together to network and discuss ways to improve the Italian influence in fashion, design, and culture in the Miami market.

“At Istituto Marangoni Miami, we are privileged to be one of the few Italian Schools in the USA promoting fashion design and culture in Miami,” expressed Stephen V. Iacullo, JD, Campus Director of Istituto Marangoni Miami. “Led by an exceptional faculty actively involved in the fashion industry, we are dedicated to recruiting and preparing exceptional students. Our partnership with the Italian Consulate is a testament to our commitment to building the success of the Italian influence in business for Miami.”

Moreover, the School has forged partnerships with numerous organizations in the city, establishing strong relationships within the community. Recognizing that the fashion community in Miami is still in its early stages, we believe that collaboration is key to transforming the city into a fashion icon. The model of Italian culture, which emphasizes partnerships and fellowships, is instrumental in helping all businesses succeed.

Hakan Baykam, President of Istituto Marangoni Miami, said, “The community isn’t just voicing their concern about the need for fashion and design in Miami. They need strong partners to assemble and make measurable commitments to solving a complex need for the city and community. We hope businesses and partners will come to us to help this philanthropic vision for Miami. We want to create great designers but not to lose them to New York or Europe.”

Istituto Marangoni Miami aims to create scholarships and raise funds for the city’s fashion community. It hopes to educate talented people and keep their talents in Miami. These talents will help grow new companies, new businesses, and commerce for Miami’s community.

Notes On The Wings of Hermès

On the Wings of Hermès is not your average brand activation. It’s a free, immersive theatrical experience in a waterfront hangar, showcasing the house’s commitment to craftsmanship; not through vitrines, curatorial texts, or product captions, but through live cinema, surreal storytelling, and a good dose of whimsy. It began at The Barker Hangar in Santa […]
