[MIAMI, FLORIDA, OCTOBER 29th, 2018] Istituto Marangoni Miami announced today Johanna Ortiz as the next speaker to appear at “In Conversation With” to take place on November 20th. The Colombian born designer will talk about women in leadership and embracing your roots while running a successful company. Today, Ortiz’s designs are sold at some of the world’s top retailers and over 73 doors globally. Behind her signature ruffles and off-the-shoulder silhouettes, worn by Amal Clooney and Sandra Bullock among many other celebrities, is a unique point of view that goes to the core of her Latin roots with the objective to create a lifestyle brand beyond clothes and based on heritage.

“We are delighted to welcome Johanna Ortiz to Istituto Marangoni Miami. She has managed to become one of the most talked about brands in the world capturing the eye of consumers and industry insiders. Ortiz is the embodiment of hard work and her story of success and authenticity will be inspiring to the younger generations and students,” said Hakan Baykam, President of Istituto Marangoni Miami.

With the aim of turning Miami into an internationally recognized fashion hub, world-renowned Italian fashion and design school, Istituto Marangoni, will be holding these series of talks with the most influential names in fashion and design.
