Istituto Marangoni Miami welcomes new Executive Vice President, Eva Hughes
Former CEO of Condé Nast México and Latin America and Founding Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Mexico and Latin America joins Istituto Marangoni Miami as Executive Vice President
Miami, FL - On Jan. 2nd, 2023, Eva Hughes became Istituto Marangoni Miami’s (IMM) new Executive Vice President. A founding member of the prestigious academic institution’s advisory board, Hughes will now take a more active role at The Miami School of Fashion, bringing her knowledge as a business expert and extensive public speaking record, to inspire and guide the Marangoni community.
Her 20-year track record of developing strategic alliances and mentoring entrepreneurs will be put to the service of the student body, as she will continue to teach entrepreneurship and leadership and coach young professionals to reach their full potential. Hughes is considered one of the main business leaders in the fashion industry in Latin America and is skilled in Business Strategies, Leadership and Team Development, Content Creation and Editing, Advertising, Event Management, Media Relations, and Corporate Communications, making her an ideal match for the fast-growing university.
“I have known Eva for a while, and I have deep respect for the work that she has accomplished as a business and thought leader in the region”, said Hakan Baykam, president and CEO of IMM. “It is of utmost importance to me that our students are exposed to the type of entrepreneurial attitude she puts in all of her endeavors. If one learns by example, Eva Hughes is one to model.”
She will become a more active ambassador at all IMM events, as she will become the face of IMM in the United States and the Latin American region, participating as a speaker at important events and fashion weeks. She will also facilitate networking with fashion brands, celebrities, influencers, and opinion leaders to help IMM to continue growing as a brand.

Prior to becoming IMM’s new Executive Vice President, Eva Hughes was the founder and CEO of Adira Consulting, CEO of Condé Nast México & Latin America, and Editor-in-Chief of Vogue México & Latin America.
In the school's last graduation ceremony, in December of 2022, Hughes was awarded an Honorary Masters Degree in fashion and luxury brand management.
