Level 3: Emotional branding

Program Description

In this unit students learn about the creation of a brand and its identity, working from a business, marketing and visual point of view. They also move on to further study the financial aspects within fashion. Students will go over: the fashion brand, digital fashion approach, finance management control, creative research and business project, and mastering the strategy. 

SUBJECTS 

Each level consists of 6 courses for the entire 11-week level. This will total in 18 hours a week of class, each course is 3 hour blocks; the professors grant a break between classes. There will be weekly assignments, midterms and final projects for each class. 

FASHION BRAND

Students will explore the concept and management of fashion brands. Students learn about the foundations of branding, including brand identity, positioning, values, and personality. The class delves into topics such as brand development, brand strategy, brand equity, and brand extension, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to create, differentiate, and manage successful fashion brands in a competitive marketplace.

DIGITAL FASHION APPROACH

Students will explore the intersection of technology and fashion, focusing on the application of digital tools and platforms in the industry like digital fashion design, e-commerce, social media marketing, and the use of augmented reality (AR).

FINANCE MANAGEMENT CONTROL

Students will focus on the principles and techniques of financial management in the context of the fashion industry. Students learn about financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, financial statements, and financial performance evaluation.

CREATIVE RESEARCH & BUSINESS PROJECT

Students will combine creative exploration with business acumen. Students identify market trends, consumer insights, and business opportunities in the fashion industry. Students will explore more complex and innovative research methods in business as well as data analysis and presentation at luxury industry standards. Students will explore innovation and disruption in business via case study analysis of fashion and luxury brands.

MASTERING THE STRATEGY

Learn how to analyze factors influencing a fashion business, assess market opportunities and threats, and formulate effective strategies to achieve business objectives. Students will learn what the business environment is to then analyze the vision, mission, goals, objectives, Importance, similarities and differences to create a corporate strategy. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES 

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:

  • Examine the interaction between the fashion industry and the fashion market, identifying the values and the strategies.
  • Express a whole understanding of the brand identity and its development in relation to marketing and communication.
  • Demonstrate advanced digital skills in creating effective presentations, using a variety of tools, boosting the potential of digital marketing of a company within the market.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects involved in the strategic business planning. 

These learning outcomes interplay perfectly with the next levels of the One Year Vocational Program for the students to progressively grow as a fashion business student and professional through a personalized class curriculum and hands-on experience. 

HOW TO APPLY 

The Vocational Programs provide flexibility to the student that does not want to commit for a full year program but wants to start a section of the program to see if it is the right fit. As to this, you are able to apply to the individual levels of the Vocational Programs and then see if you want to continue. To apply to a stand-alone level, students are able to select the ‘11-week level courses’ in the application form.  Students will then be able to apply to their corresponding level and program.
